# Discard a comment draft

`DELETE /v1/comments/drafts/{id}`

## Request

Discards a draft that has not been committed. Once it leaves `draft` the request is refused with `409 comment_already_committed`; a committed comment cannot be called back this way.

- `id` string, required

## Response `204`

Comment draft discarded.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation failed.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: Subscription payment failed.
- `403`: Subscription does not allow this request.
- `404`: Resource not found.
- `409`: Resource state precludes this request.
- `422`: Request semantically rejected.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
- `500`: Internal server error.
- `503`: Upstream unavailable.
