# Promoter pledge events

`GET /v1/stocks/{symbol}/promoter-pledge/events`

## Request

Individual encumbrance events filed by promoters under the takeover code: pledge creation, release and invocation, with the lender as disclosed and holdings before/after. From 2015 onward; newest disclosure first; filter by disclosure date with `from`/`to` (IST) and `event_type`. Updated daily.

    - `encumbrance_type` string, nullable, required: Kind of encumbrance, e.g. "Pledge", "Non-disposal undertaking", "Lien", "Others".
    - `lender_details` string, nullable, required: Lender / trustee text exactly as disclosed by the company.
    - `event_from` string, nullable, required: Date the encumbrance event started (YYYY-MM-DD), null when not reported.
    - `event_to` string, nullable, required: Date the encumbrance event ended (YYYY-MM-DD), null when not reported.
    - `event_shares` number, nullable, required: Shares covered by this event.
    - `event_pct` number, nullable, required: Shares covered by this event, % of total share capital.
    - `promoter_shares_before` number, nullable, required: Shares held by this promoter before the event.
    - `promoter_pct_before` number, nullable, required: This promoter's holding before the event, % of total share capital.
    - `encumbered_shares_after` number, nullable, required: This promoter's shares encumbered after the event.
    - `encumbered_pct_after` number, nullable, required: This promoter's encumbered shares after the event, % of total share capital.
    - `total_encumbered_shares` number, nullable, required: All promoter-group shares encumbered after the event.
    - `total_encumbered_pct` number, nullable, required: All promoter-group encumbered shares after the event, % of total share capital.
    - `reported_on` string, nullable, required: Date of the company's report (YYYY-MM-DD), null when not reported.
    - `disclosed_at` string, required: When the event was published (ISO-8601 UTC). Results are ordered by this.

## Other responses

- `400`: Malformed or out-of-range parameter. Not charged.
- `401`: Missing or invalid bearer token.
- `404`: The requested resource does not exist. Not charged.
- `429`: Per-minute burst cap (`rate_limited`) or plan quota (`quota_exhausted`) reached.
- `500`: Unexpected server error. Not charged.
- `502`: A data dependency was unavailable. Not charged.
- `503`: Authentication or quota service temporarily unavailable (`service_unavailable`). Not charged; retry after `Retry-After` seconds.
