# Index level history

`GET /v1/indices/{name}/history`

## Request

OHLC plus PE/PB/dividend-yield series for one NSE index (Nifty 50, Nifty Bank, Nifty IT, India VIX, ...). `interval` is the lookback window: 1m, 3m, 6m, 1y (daily bars) or 2y, max (weekly bars).

OK. Costs one request unit.

- `401`: Missing or invalid bearer token.
- `404`: The symbol, index or document does not exist. Not charged.
- `429`: Per-minute burst cap (`rate_limited`) or plan quota (`quota_exhausted`) reached.
- `502`: A data dependency was unavailable. Not charged.
- `503`: Authentication or quota service temporarily unavailable (`service_unavailable`). Not charged; retry after `Retry-After` seconds.
