# Customer's ID Verification Status

`GET /merchants/customer/id-verification-status`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api-sandbox.tamara.co`
- URL: `https://api-sandbox.tamara.co/merchants/customer/id-verification-status`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

This endpoint is requested for in-store checkout  integration during the pre-checkout phase. It checks the customer's ID verification status at **Tamara**, providing information on whether the customer is new(unverified) or existing(previously verified).

## Query parameters

- `phone_number` string, required
- `country_code` 'SA' | 'AE', required: The unique ISO country code for the country that the phone number owner is located in
