# Challenge claim

`POST /claim-management/partner/v1/claims/{claim_id}/challenge`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

This API lets you challenge a claim for records that you disagree with.

## Path parameters

- `claim_id` integer, required

## Headers

- `Idempotency-Key` string
- `content-type` 'application/json' | 'multipart/form-data', required

## Request body `multipart/form-data`

- object
  - `comment` string, required: Must be non-empty after trim, and has a maximum length of 1000 characters.
  - `requester` string: Caller system or user identifier for audit; maximum length 255 characters
  - `attachments[]` string[]: Up to 20 files; type, size and file-signature checks apply

## Response `200`

- object
  - `claim_id` integer
  - `claim_status` 'under_review': Always under_review on success

## Other responses

- `409`: Conflict
