# Delete a delivery destination

`DELETE /v1/delivery/destinations/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.talonic.com`
- URL: `https://api.talonic.com/v1/delivery/destinations/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Deletes the destination and ORPHANS the bindings routed to it: each
is deactivated, stamped `last_status: destination_deleted`, and keeps
every other setting with `destination_id: null`. Re-point such a
binding with `PUT /v1/delivery/bindings/{id}` (`destination_id` is
required on that update) and set `is_active: true` to resume. The
destination's delivery history is deleted with it.

## Response `200`

Destination deleted; its bindings remain, orphaned.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
- `429`: Daily rate limit exceeded.
