# One record's history across captures

`GET /v1/db-snapshots/sources/{connectionId}/history`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.talonic.com`
- URL: `https://api.talonic.com/v1/db-snapshots/sources/{connectionId}/history`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Every change recorded for a single row, newest first, plus the row's
current stored values. An empty `events` list with a non-null
`current` means the row exists and has not changed within the retained
captures.

## Response `200`

The record's change history.

- DbSnapshotRecordHistory
  - `table_key` string
  - `pk` string
  - `identity_columns` string[]: Columns identifying this row; empty when the table has no key and rows are matched by content hash.
  - `current` object, nullable: The row's values in the newest completed capture; null when it no longer exists.
  - `events_total` integer: Changes recorded for this row across retained captures, before the cap below.
  - `events_truncated` boolean: True when `events_total` exceeded 100 and only the newest 100 are returned.
  - `events` object[]: Changes to this row, NEWEST first, capped at the 100 most recent.
    - `delta_id` string, uuid
    - `snapshot_id` string, uuid
    - `captured_at` string, date-time
    - `change_type` 'added' | 'modified' | 'removed'
    - `before` object, nullable
    - `after` object, nullable
    - `changed_at` string, nullable: Exact write time from the source's change history (external-history sources); null on platform captures.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is invalid.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
- `429`: Daily rate limit exceeded.
