# Poll an agent query (legacy alias)

`GET /v1/agent/query/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.talonic.com`
- URL: `https://api.talonic.com/v1/agent/query/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Poll a turn started via `POST /v1/agent/query`. Returns `status` and the plain
answer text; empty until the turn completes. `tier` names which engine answered
and `citations` carries the evidence behind the answer.

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

The turn's status and answer.

  - `tier` string: `retrieval_fast_path` when the cheap deterministic tier answered, `agent_loop` otherwise.
  - `citations` object[]
    - `quote` string
    - `document_id` string, uuid
    - `kind` 'field' | 'quote'
    - `reference` string
    - `filename` string, nullable
    - `app_url` string

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
