# Edit a ticket

`PATCH /api/v1/board/tickets/{key}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://tallymeter.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Only the fields sent are touched; anything omitted is left alone. `append_description` adds to the body instead of replacing it, which is the safe way to amend a ticket somebody else wrote. Requires the `board:write` scope.
