# Remove user from organization

`DELETE /organizations/{organizationId}/users/{userId}`

## Request

- URL: `https://api.tally.so/organizations/{organizationId}/users/{userId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes a user from your organization. Only the organization creator can remove other members, or users can remove themselves.

## Path parameters

- `organizationId` string, required
- `userId` string, required

## Response `204`

User removed from organization successfully

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized - Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Forbidden - User doesn't have permission to remove this member or user doesn't exist in organization
- `404`: Organization not found
