# Delete all messages from a conversation

`DELETE /v1/{appId}/conversations/{conversationId}/messages`

## Request

Deletes all messages from a specific conversation. This operation irrevocably deletes all messages in the specified conversation from the TalkJS database, and deletes the messages in real-time from any potentially connected clients. 

Once you have deleted all messages from a conversation, you can't get them back.

**Note:** This endpoint doesn't generate webhooks.

- `401`: Authorization information is missing or invalid.
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Too many requests
