# Add a document to a candidate

`POST /0/candidates/{id}/documents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.taleez.com`
- URL: `https://api.taleez.com/0/candidates/{id}/documents`
- Auth: API key in header `X-taleez-api-secret`

Use this endpoint to add a document to a candidate.<br/><b>If the document already exists for the candidate (same content), the name is updated and only one document will appear in the candidate card in Taleez.</b><br/>Supported file formats : pdf, doc, docx, rtf, odt, jpeg, png, pages.<br/><br/>🔑 You can access this if you have the 'candidate.documents.add' scope activated on your secret key.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `cv` boolean

## Response `201`

Return the id of the created document, or the id of the existing document if document already exists for this candidate

## Other responses

- `400`: Something's wrong with your request, additional info will be provided in error message
