# Update a task

`PATCH /v1/tasks/{id}`

## Request

Requires tasks capability. Own-task gates apply. The holder of a live card may hand it to another eligible profile (assigneeProfileId, optionally with status review and reviewNote in the same call); releasing to nobody, reassigning other cards, archive, and accepting reviewed work require task:assign or a human session.
