# Get Similar Apartments

`GET /api/apartments/by-name/{apartment_name}/similar`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ai.tacostreetlocating.com`
- URL: `https://ai.tacostreetlocating.com/api/apartments/by-name/{apartment_name}/similar`
- Auth: none declared

Vector Search Phase 4 — return apartments similar to the given one,
ranked by `vibe_embedding` cosine similarity via Atlas $vectorSearch,
then re-ranked with neighborhood / price / age / housing-type signals so
the results actually feel comparable (not just semantically similar).

Always scoped to the same `city` as the source apartment. Excludes
student/senior housing when the source isn't student/senior. Drops
candidates whose price differs by more than ~60% from the source.

The optional `?city=` query param disambiguates when two metros have
apartments with the same name (e.g., "Paseo" exists in both Austin
and Dallas). When omitted, the lookup falls back to first-match,
which can pick the wrong metro.
