# Check for a recent scan of a URL

`GET /api/v1/scans/recent-duplicate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sytecheck.app` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.sytecheck.app/api/v1/scans/recent-duplicate`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Report whether this URL was scanned very recently, so you can offer the existing
report instead of spending quota on a near-identical one.

Advisory only — it never blocks a scan.

## Query parameters

- `url` string, required: The URL about to be scanned.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- RecentDuplicateResponse: Result of the pre-submit recent-duplicate check for GET /scans/recent-duplicate. Advisory only — reports whether the caller scanned the same website within the warning window so the UI can caution against tripping the site's WAF. It never blocks submission.

  - `scan_id` integer, nullable
  - `last_scan_at` string, date-time, nullable
  - `minutes_ago` integer, nullable
  - `cooldown_minutes` integer, required
