# Withdraw a challenge while it is open and unanswered

`DELETE /workspaces/{id}/questions/{questionId}/challenges/{challengeId}`

By whoever raised it, or by an editor where SwingFactor raised it. A resolved challenge, or one a change was asked for on, stays on the record; the history keeps a withdrawn one.

## Response `204`

No content.

## Other responses

- `401`: No token, or not a valid one: `unauthorized`.
- `403`: Not yours to withdraw: resolve it instead.
- `404`: No such challenge.
- `422`: It is resolved, or a change was asked for on it.
