# Where to fetch an item’s bytes

`GET /workspaces/{id}/content/{itemId}/download`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.swingfactor.ai/v1`
- URL: `https://api.swingfactor.ai/v1/workspaces/{id}/content/{itemId}/download`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Signed when asked for, for five minutes: an upload’s file, or a web page as it was fetched — its current version, or one named. A download, named after the item — or, with `inline=true`, shown in place, for a type that cannot run script (raster images, PDF, plain text); any other type, a page’s HTML among them, is still a download.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required
- `itemId` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `version` string, uuid: A version. Absent: the current one.
- `inline` 'true' | 'false': true: shown in place where the type allows. Absent or false: a download.

## Response `200`

A signed URL.

- Download
  - `url` string, required
  - `expiresAt` string, required

## Other responses

- `401`: No token, or not a valid one: `unauthorized`.
- `404`: No such item, or no such version of it.
- `409`: Nothing to fetch yet.
