# Mint a short-lived embedded signing URL

`POST /api/v1/envelopes/{id}/recipients/{recipientId}/embedded-url`

## Request

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required
- `recipientId` string, required

## Request body

- EmbeddedUrlBody
  - `returnUrl` string, uri: https URL to return the signer to after signing.

## Response `200`

A single-use iframe URL valid for 30 minutes.

- EmbeddedUrl
  - `url` string, uri, required
  - `expiresAt` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: returnUrl must be a valid https URL.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: Envelope or recipient not found.
- `409`: Recipient cannot be embedded in the current state.
