# Get Chat

`POST /api/mcp/get_chat`

Load a saved chat thread for a chapter+revision.

Returns `{job_id, chapter, revision, messages}`. `messages` is a
list of `{role, content, plan?}` entries in chronological order.
Empty list if nothing was ever saved for this slot. Use
`revision=0` (or omit) for the pre-revision draft thread.

## Request body

- ChatHistoryInput
  - `job_id` string, required: The story job ID.
  - `chapter` integer, required
  - `revision` integer: Revision number. 0 = general chapter chat.
  - `slot` string, nullable: Optional non-chapter chat slot, e.g. selected paragraph thread.
