`POST /api/mcp/generate_cast`

Granular alternative to generate_story — runs the CHARACTERIZER ONLY.

Requires either an approved world or an existing outline.
Kicks off cast generation in the background; settles at
status='reviewing' with the cast committed. Does NOT auto-research
the world — call regenerate_setting if you need that.

Returns immediately with `{job_id, status: "starting", story_url?}`.
