# Create Scene Still

`POST /api/mcp/create_scene_still`

Make one paragraph's scene still with your own image tools, then attach it.

Returns a brief built from the chapter: a 16:9 photographic prompt for
the paragraph (with up to ~900 characters of lead-in), the cast in
the shot with their attached reference images for identity (in the
order to pass them), the story's fixed still style, acceptance checks,
generator settings (local Codex CLI first, fal gpt-image-2.5 flare as
backup) and a 60-minute upload URL. Cast without a reference image are
listed in missing_references: call create_character_reference for them
first for consistent faces. Generate locally, check against
brief.checks, then PUT the file to upload.url (curl given; add
?model=<label>&caption=<short caption>). The still replaces any earlier
still on that paragraph and revision. No server image generation.

## Request body

- CreateSceneStillInput: Brief + upload URL for one paragraph's client-generated scene still.
  - `job_id` string, required: The story job ID.
  - `chapter` integer, required: Chapter number that owns the paragraph.
  - `paragraph_index` integer, required: 0-based paragraph index within the chapter text (blank-line separated).
  - `revision` integer, nullable: Chapter revision whose text to illustrate; omit for the current text.
  - `character_names` string[], nullable: Cast in the shot (full or first names, max 3). Omit to use the cast members named in the paragraph.
