# Character Chat

`POST /api/mcp/character_chat`

## Request

Discuss the cast with the user. No changes are committed — call
this repeatedly across turns to explore who the characters are,
what needs changing, etc. Pass the running `messages` back each turn.

Returns {editorial_summary}. When the user is satisfied, call
refine_characters(apply=true) to commit a refined cast in one shot.

Valid while status == 'reviewing'. Free to call.
