# End a session, optionally with a debrief

`POST /cross-examinations/{id}/end`

## Request

Requires the `cross_exam` scope. With `debrief: true` the app's debrief runs on
the transcript; it is refused, with the reason in its text, when fewer than two
questions were asked or too few were put as cross-examination. Free. Ending
twice is harmless.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request was malformed.
- `401`: Missing, malformed, unknown or revoked key.
- `403`: The key lacks the scope, the address is not on its allowlist, or API access is off for the account.
- `404`: Nothing with that id is visible to this key.
- `429`: Too many requests, or too many jobs in flight.
- `502`: The session ended but the debrief could not be written; call end again to retry it.
