# Sample Device Properties

`GET /v2/users/device-properties-sample`

Returns one plausible set of device properties for the application, for previewing a paywall before it has been shown. Merges a recent real device event over a documented default set, then adds the derived time and days-since fields the SDK computes on device. Requires users:read scope.

## Query parameters

- `application_id` string, required — Application ID

## Response `200`

Success

  - `live` boolean, required — False when the application has no recent events and only defaults were returned

## Other responses

- `400` — The request did not match the expected schema
- `401` — No API key was provided in the request
- `403` — The API key does not have permission to perform this action
- `404` — The requested resource was not found
- `429` — Too many requests have been made in a short period
- `500` — An unexpected error occurred on the server
