# Request a coach trial for a person

`POST /api/public/v1/trials`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.supersetapp.com`
- URL: `https://www.supersetapp.com/api/public/v1/trials`
- Auth: none required

Sends the person's name and email to the Superset team, who follow up with them about a free coach trial. Nothing is created and no email goes to the person from this call. Ask the person before you call this. Limited to 5 requests per hour per client IP and 3 per day per address.

## Request body

- TrialRequest
  - `email` string, email, required
  - `first_name` string, required
  - `last_name` string
  - `agent_name` string: Your product's name, for attribution.

## Response `202`

Request received. Tell the person the Superset team will reach out.

  - `status` 'received', required
  - `email` string, email, required
  - `message` string, required: What to tell the person.

## Other responses

- `400`: A missing or invalid field, or a temporary email address. `fields` names each one.
- `403`: A browser Origin that is not one of ours.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded: 5 trial requests per hour per client IP, 3 per day per address, or 60 requests per minute per client IP. The RateLimit headers describe the limit you hit; wait `Retry-After` seconds.
