# Price a basket of commodities at every chain

`GET /v1/insights/basket`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://supermcp.co.il`
- URL: `https://supermcp.co.il/v1/insights/basket`
- Auth: none required

Without `items` this prices the published standard basket, which is what the site's index quotes. Rank on comparableTotal, never on total.

## Query parameters

- `items` string

## Response `200`

OK

- object
  - `data` object
    - `lineCount` integer
    - `unitCount` integer: Line count weighted by quantity.
    - `lines` object[]
      - `slug` string
      - `qty` integer
      - `cheapest` number, nullable
      - `dearest` number, nullable
    - `chains` object[]
      - `chainId` string
      - `chainSlug` string
      - `chainName` string
      - `total` number: Sum of the lines this chain prices. Not comparable on its own.
      - `covered` integer
      - `comparableTotal` number: total plus the market median for each line this chain does not sell. The only figure two chains may be ranked on: a chain stocking less would otherwise finish first.
      - `freshness` object: When the price list behind a figure was published, and whether that is now stale.
        - `asOf` string, date: Israel local date.
        - `stale` boolean: Older than the 7-day staleness limit.
      - `lines` object[]
        - `slug` string
        - `qty` integer
        - `unitPrice` number, nullable
        - `name` string, nullable: What the chain actually sells at that price.
    - `spread` object, nullable: Range across the chains that sell the item. One price per chain, never per store.
      - `min` number
      - `max` number
      - `median` number
      - `ratio` number: max / min.
      - `saving` number: Shekels between cheapest and dearest.
      - `chainCount` integer

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request. Query parameters are validated strictly: a parameter this document does not list is rejected, and `details[].keys` names it. A misspelled filter used to be dropped silently, which answered a question nobody asked with a plausible list of products.
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Not found
- `429`: Rate limited
