# Add a recording to a stack

`POST /stacks/{public_id}/recordings`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.supercut.ai/v1`
- URL: `https://api.supercut.ai/v1/stacks/{public_id}/recordings`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Works with: Personal token

Adds an existing recording to a stack. Requires edit access to the stack and view access to the recording. Returns 409 if the recording is already in the stack. Note: Stacks have been renamed to Playlists across Supercut. The endpoint paths and payloads remain \`stacks\` for backwards compatibility.
