# Update a recording

`PATCH /recordings/{public_id}`

## Request

Works with: Personal token

Changes a recording's title or summary, for example to replace an AI-generated title. Requires edit access to the recording. Each version of a recording keeps its own title and summary, so the change applies only to the version the ID points to. A summary can be replaced only once processing has generated one; before that it returns 409.

    - `workspace_access` 'VIEW' | 'EDIT' | 'FULL_ACCESS', nullable, required: What everyone in the workspace can do with the recording ("General access"), or null when it is not shared with the workspace.
