# Get a download URL for the recording video

`GET /recordings/{public_id}/download`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.supercut.ai/v1`
- URL: `https://api.supercut.ai/v1/recordings/{public_id}/download`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Works with: Personal token

Returns a signed URL for the merged, rendered video — the same artifact the Supercut dashboard's Download action produces. Always the recording's live version: the \`public\_id\` of any older edit resolves to the current one, and the response's \`public\_id\` is the version served. If the file has not been produced yet the merge is started and 202 is returned — poll until 200. A 409 means the recording can never produce one. The raw screen and camera captures are not offered here; see the raw asset endpoints. Requires a personal token, access to the recording, the \`recording:download\` workspace capability (or ownership of the recording), and the video-download plan feature on the recording's workspace; \`skip\_outro\` also needs the download-options feature.
