# Acknowledge an incident

`POST /api/sre/incidents/{id}/acknowledge`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://demo.supercheck.dev`
- URL: `https://demo.supercheck.dev/api/sre/incidents/{id}/acknowledge`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Stamps who acknowledged and when. If the incident is unassigned, the acknowledger becomes the assignee. Repeating the call is a no-op.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Incident acknowledged, or already acknowledged

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid ID
- `403`: Insufficient permission
- `404`: Incident not found in the active project
- `409`: Incident is already resolved
