# Delete organization

`DELETE /api/organizations/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://demo.supercheck.dev`
- URL: `https://demo.supercheck.dev/api/organizations/{id}`
- Auth: API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`

Owner only. Only empty organizations without protected dependencies can be deleted. Selected browser session references are cleared atomically. Organizations containing projects or protected dependencies return 409; contact an administrator or support for safe removal. Browser mutations require a same-origin request; CLI tokens retain their existing authorization. Requires an interactive browser session. Project-scoped CLI tokens receive 403.

- `401`: Authentication required or token invalid
- `403`: Insufficient permissions
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: Organization contains projects or protected dependencies; removal requires administrator or support assistance.
