# Upload a file

`POST /files`

Upload a new file to the Superchat servers.

## Response `200`

OK

- PAFileDTO
  - `id` string — The ID of the file
  - `name` string — The name of the file
  - `mime_type` string — The MIME type of the file. Allowed types application/pdf, application/rtf, application/msword, application/*, image/jpeg, image/png, image/gif, image/*, audio/mpeg, audio/ogg, audio/webm, audio/aac, audio/*, video/mp4, video/quicktime, video/*
  - `link` PAFileLinkDTO
    - `url` string — The download URL of the file
    - `valid_until` string, date-time
  - `url` string — The URL of the file resource

## Other responses

- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden
- `404` — Not Found
- `500` — Internal Server Error
