# Update a contact list

`PUT /contact-lists/{contactListId}`

## Request

Updates a contact list in your Superchat workspace.

## Path parameters

- `contactListId` string, required

## Request body

- PAUpdateContactListDTO
  - `name` string, required: The updated name of the contact list
  - `description` string, nullable: The updated description of the contact list

## Response `200`

OK

- PAContactListDTO
  - `id` string, required: The unique identifier of the contact list
  - `name` string, required: The name of the contact list
  - `description` string, nullable, required: The description of the contact list
  - `url` string: The URL of the contact list resource
