# Data licence and source attribution

`GET /api/v1/license`

## Request

The machine-readable licence and per-source attribution for everything this API serves: eight upstream datasets, each naming its own licence. The statistics are CC BY 4.0; the nearby-places data is Digitransit (CC BY 4.0), the Suomi.fi service catalogue (PTV, CC0 1.0), OpenStreetMap (ODbL 1.0) and LIPAS (CC BY 4.0), and those four sources carry a `derivation` describing how the nearby-places database was built from them. Cite the original publisher, not Suomiatlas, when reusing figures.

Licence and sources.

- LicenseInfo
  - `license` string, required: The licence of the statistics. The nearby-places data mixes licences; see each source.
  - `licenseUrl` string, required
  - `attribution` string, required: The attribution text to reproduce when reusing figures.
  - `sources` DataSource[], required: Every upstream dataset, each with its own licence. Credit the publisher named here, not Suomiatlas.
    - `name` string, required
    - `publisher` string, required
    - `url` string, required
    - `license` string, required
    - `licenseUrl` string, required
    - `derivation` string: How Suomiatlas built its data from this source: every filter, merge and added field. Present only on the nearby-places sources (Digitransit, OpenStreetMap, PTV, LIPAS); omitted for a source served as published.
