# Request Translation

`POST /videos/{youtube_video_id}/translations`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sumvid.app` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.sumvid.app/videos/{youtube_video_id}/translations`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Request a translated summary using credits, with the same max_credits
spending ceiling as POST /summarize. Existing translations are free.
Omitted language uses the account preference. Poll the returned job id.
