# Summarize Video

`POST /summarize`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sumvid.app` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.sumvid.app/summarize`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Request a summary using prepaid credits; cached summaries are free.

`max_credits` is the caller's authorized spending ceiling (default 1).
A known video above that ceiling returns 409 with its required credit cost.
For a new video the worker discovers duration. If the cost exceeds the
reservation it fails with credit_confirmation_required and releases the
credits; re-submit with an explicitly confirmed higher limit. No model
call runs on that failed attempt. Poll GET /jobs/{job_id} for the result.
