# Update an existing webhook endpoint

`PATCH /api/v1/webhook-endpoints/{endpoint_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sudomock.com`
- URL: `https://api.sudomock.com/api/v1/webhook-endpoints/{endpoint_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Change the URL, description, event types, event naming, or enabled state. Send only the fields you are changing.

## Path parameters

- `endpoint_id` string, required: Id of the endpoint whose settings you want to change.

## Request body

- WebhookEndpointUpdateRequest: Partial update. Any subset of fields; all optional.
  - `url` string, nullable: New https URL that receives this endpoint's events.
  - `description` string, nullable: New label for this endpoint.
  - `event_types` string[], nullable: New list of event types for this endpoint; leave it empty to receive every event.
  - `enabled` boolean, nullable: Set to false to pause deliveries, or true to resume them.
  - `event_naming` 'legacy' | 'current', nullable: Re-pin the endpoint to 'current' or 'legacy' event names once its handler is ready for them.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- WebhookEndpointResponse: Endpoint metadata with the secret MASKED (`whsec_****<last4>`).
  - `id` string, required: Unique identifier for the webhook endpoint.
  - `url` string, required: The https URL that receives this endpoint's events.
  - `secret` string, required: Masked: whsec_****<last4>
  - `description` string, nullable: Your label for this endpoint.
  - `event_types` string[]: Event types this endpoint receives; an empty list means every event.
  - `enabled` boolean, required: Whether this endpoint currently receives events.
  - `event_naming` string: The event-name spelling this endpoint is pinned to: 'legacy' or 'current'.
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: Time the endpoint was created.
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, nullable: Time the endpoint was last updated.
