# Start Verification

`POST /v2/partners/{partner_id}/kyb`

Start KYB Verification

Initiates a Know Your Business (KYB) verification for the specified partner.
The verification runs asynchronously - use the GET endpoint to check status.

If business_name, address, or tin are not provided in the request, they will
be derived from the partner's existing data (name/legal_name, billing_address,
tax_number).

## Path parameters

- `partner_id` string, required

## Request body

- KYBVerificationRequest: Request to start a KYB verification for a partner.
  - `business_name` string, nullable: Business name to verify. If not provided, uses partner's name or legal_name.
  - `address` string, nullable: Full address string. If not provided, constructs from partner's billing_address.
  - `tin` string, nullable: Tax ID number (EIN/TIN). If not provided, uses partner's tax_number.
  - `officer_names` string[], nullable: List of officer names to verify against business records.
  - `force` boolean: Bypass cooldown and force a new verification.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- KYBVerificationResponse: Response after starting a KYB verification.

  - `status` string, required
  - `message` string, required
