# Update an Internal Contact

`PATCH /v2/internal-contacts/{internal_contact_id}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Update fields on an internal contact. Name and phone changes propagate to
all partner assignments automatically since the person is a single row.

## Path parameters

- `internal_contact_id` string, required

## Request body

- UpdateInternalContactRequest: Request body for updating an internal contact's fields.
  - `email` string, nullable: The internal contact's email address.
  - `given_name` string, nullable: The internal contact's given name.
  - `family_name` string, nullable: The internal contact's family name.
  - `name` string, nullable: The internal contact's full name, if no given/family name.
  - `phone` string, nullable: The internal contact's phone number.
  - `job_title` string, nullable: The internal contact's job title.

Successful Response

- InternalContact: An internal contact (CSM, AM, etc.) at the organization level.

  - `modified_at` string, date-time, nullable, required

  - `email` string, required
  - `given_name` string, nullable, required: The internal contact's given name.
  - `family_name` string, nullable, required: The internal contact's family name.
  - `name` string, nullable, required: The internal contact's full name, if no given/family name.
  - `phone` string, phone, nullable, required: A phone number in [E.164](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E.164) format
  - `job_title` string, nullable, required: The internal contact's job title.
  - `object` string, required: String representing the object's type. Objects of the same type share the same value.
