# Update billing details

`PUT /v2/billing/details`

## Request

Update the customer's Stripe billing details.

## Request body

- UpdateBillingDetailsRequest: A Stripe billing identity update.
  - `business_name` string, required: Legal business name (Stripe customer name).
  - `billing_email` string, nullable: Email Stripe sends invoices to; null clears it.
  - `address` AddressInput, required: A Stripe billing address update.
    - `line1` string, required: Street address, line 1.
    - `line2` string, nullable: Street address, line 2.
    - `city` string, required: City.
    - `state` string, nullable: State / province.
    - `postal_code` string, required: Postal / ZIP code.
    - `country` string, required: Two-letter ISO country code.
  - `tax_id` TaxIdInput: A VAT or tax registration update.
    - `type` string, required: Stripe tax-id type, e.g. 'eu_vat', 'gb_vat', 'us_ein'.
    - `value` string, required: The tax registration number.
  - `default_payment_method_id` string, nullable: Stripe payment-method id to set as the invoice default; omit to leave the current default unchanged. (Save a new card first via the Payment Element from POST /billing/session, then pass its id here.)
