# Delete node

`DELETE /api/nodes/{id}`

Removes a node from the fleet. The last local node cannot be deleted. Requires `node:manage` permission.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Response `200`

Node deleted.

- SuccessBoolean
  - `success` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400` — Cannot delete the only local node (or the default node).
- `403` — Insufficient permissions or license tier.
- `500` — Internal server error.
