# Check if update scan is running

`GET /api/image-updates/status`

Returns whether an image update check is currently in progress.

## Response `200`

Check status.

- object
  - `checking` boolean, required — `true` if a scan is currently running.

- `401` — Authentication required. Provide a valid Bearer token.
