# Create registry

`POST /api/registries`

Adds a new private container registry. The secret is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.
Admin role required. Docker Hub, GHCR, and custom registries are available on every tier. Creating an AWS ECR registry requires an Admiral license. API tokens receive `SCOPE_DENIED`.

## Request body

- RegistryCreate
  - `name` string, required
  - `url` string, required
  - `type` 'dockerhub' | 'ghcr' | 'ecr' | 'custom', required
  - `username` string, required
  - `secret` string, required — Password, token, or access key. Write-only — never returned in GET responses.
  - `aws_region` string — Required when `type` is `ecr`.

## Response `201`

Registry created.

- `400` — Validation error.
- `403` — Insufficient permissions or license tier.
- `500` — Internal server error.
