# Test registry connection

`POST /api/registries/{id}/test`

Tests connectivity and authentication against a configured registry.
Admin role required. Testing a Docker Hub, GHCR, or custom registry is available on every tier. Testing an AWS ECR registry requires an Admiral license. API tokens receive `SCOPE_DENIED`.

- `400` — Invalid registry ID.
- `403` — Insufficient permissions or license tier.
- `500` — Internal server error.
