# List teams

`POST /v1/list_teams`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mcp.strikerapi.com`
- URL: `https://mcp.strikerapi.com/v1/list_teams`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Use to find club ids and abbreviations for a season (default: the latest). Every other tool takes a club as an id, abbreviation or name. Pass league for MLS (mls), La Liga (laliga), Serie A (seriea), the Bundesliga (bundesliga), Ligue 1 (ligue1), the Champions League (ucl), the EFL Championship (championship), the NWSL (nwsl), Liga MX (ligamx), the Europa League (uel), the Conference League (uecl), the Eredivisie (eredivisie), the Primeira Liga (primeira), the Scottish Premiership (scotland), Brazil's Serie A (brazil) or Argentina's Liga Profesional (argentina); default: the Premier League. Costs 1 credit.

  - `season` union: Season by the year it starts: 2025 = 2025-26. MLS, the NWSL, Liga MX, Brazil and Argentina: the calendar year. Default: the latest.

  - `league` 'soccer' | 'mls' | 'laliga' | 'seriea' | 'bundesliga' | 'ligue1' | 'ucl' | 'championship' | 'nwsl' | 'ligamx' | 'uel' | 'uecl' | 'eredivisie' | 'primeira' | 'scotland' | 'brazil' | 'argentina': League. Defaults to soccer. One of: soccer, mls, laliga, seriea, bundesliga, ligue1, ucl, championship, nwsl, ligamx, uel, uecl, eredivisie, primeira, scotland, brazil, argentina.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid arguments.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
