# Get a specific user

`GET /users/{user_id}`

## Request

Returns a single user by ID if they belong to your organisation.

## Path parameters

- `user_id` integer, required

## Response `200`

User fetched successfully.

- User: Represents a user within the organisation
  - `id` integer: User ID
  - `email` string, email: User email address
  - `branchId` integer: Branch the user belongs to
  - `roleId` integer, nullable: Role assigned to the user (if any)
  - `displayName` string: Display name
  - `firstName` string: First name
  - `lastName` string, nullable: Last name
  - `phoneNumber` string, nullable: Primary phone number
  - `userStatus` UserStatus: Status of a User.
    - `id` 1 | 2 | 3: User Status ID (1=Active, 2=Hibernated, 3=Deleted)
    - `name` string
  - `costRate` number, float: Internal cost rate
  - `billableRate` number, float: Billable rate for the user
  - `hoursWorkedMonday` number, float: Hours typically worked on Monday
  - `hoursWorkedTuesday` number, float: Hours typically worked on Tuesday
  - `hoursWorkedWednesday` number, float: Hours typically worked on Wednesday
  - `hoursWorkedThursday` number, float: Hours typically worked on Thursday
  - `hoursWorkedFriday` number, float: Hours typically worked on Friday
  - `hoursWorkedSaturday` number, float: Hours typically worked on Saturday
  - `hoursWorkedSunday` number, float: Hours typically worked on Sunday
