# Get information about an account and repository, including the list of collections. Does not require auth.

`GET /xrpc/com.atproto.repo.describeRepo`

## Query parameters

- `repo` string, at-identifier, required — The handle or DID of the repo.

## Response `200`

Success

  - `did` string, did, required
  - `didDoc` unknown, required
  - `handle` string, handle, required
  - `collections` string[], required — List of all the collections (NSIDs) for which this repo contains at least one record.
  - `handleIsCorrect` boolean, required — Indicates if handle is currently valid (resolves bi-directionally)
