# Update contact field value

`POST /v2/teams/{teamKey}/contacts/{contactKey}/fields/{fieldKey}`

Sets one custom text field value on a contact. An empty string clears its text.

## Path parameters

- `contactKey` string, required
- `fieldKey` string, required
- `teamKey` string, required

## Request body

- DirectoryFieldValueUpdateBody: A custom text field value for a contact or organization.
  - `value` string, required: Text to store. Use an empty string to clear the text.

## Response `200`

OK
