# Add a buyer, consignee or supplier to your export watchlist (free)

`POST /monitored`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.stratumapis.com/v1/export-screening`
- URL: `https://api.stratumapis.com/v1/export-screening/monitored`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Stratum-Key`

Watchlist entries are re-screened against the ten lists every day at 05:00 UTC. A listing that newly matches
appears in `GET /monitored/changes` with its details, and we email an alert. This watchlist is separate from a
Sanctions Screening watchlist: each lists, counts and alerts only its own entries.
Watchlist size: Starter 250, Growth 1,000, Pro 5,000.

## Request body

  - `entityName` string, required
  - `entityType` 'individual' | 'company', required
  - `country` string: The party's country as a two-letter ISO 3166 code. Optional; reported against the export lists' addresses.
  - `reference` string: Your own reference for the party (a customer or order number). Optional; kept with the entry, returned by GET /monitored and /monitored/changes, and shown in alert emails.
  - `customerEmail` string: Where alerts for this entry go. Defaults to the email you subscribed with.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid body. Returns { "error": "<code>", "message": "..." }. `dateOfBirth`, `nationality` and `rescreenCadence` belong to the Sanctions Screening watchlist and are refused here (`unsupported_field`).
- `409`: Watchlist full (`tier_cap_reached`)
