# Search tasks

`GET /tasks/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://catalyst.stratogenic.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://catalyst.stratogenic.ai/tasks/search`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Searches normalised Catalyst tasks within the current tenant.

This endpoint provides a lightweight, deterministic search intended for dashboards and automation tools such as Zapier, rather than full-text search.

Search behaviour:
- Performs a case-insensitive substring match over task title and details.
- Supports optional filtering by canonical domain and priority.
- Automatically excludes internal system-derived tasks.

Pagination:
- Results are paginated using `limit` and `offset` query parameters.
- The `count` field in the response represents the total number of matched tasks, not just the number returned in the current page.

Typical Zapier usage:
- Find an existing task before updating it.
- Locate tasks for bulk updates or notifications.
- Pair with 'Send Task to Catalyst' when no matching task is found.

## Query parameters

- `q` string: Free text search over title/details (case-insensitive substring)
- `domain` string, nullable: Filter by canonical domain (e.g. security, product, infra)
- `priority` string, nullable: Filter by priority (e.g. "Low" | "Medium" | "High" | "Critical")
- `limit` integer: Max tasks to return
- `offset` integer: Pagination offset
